Can old dogs start new habits?

This is not a habit I have developed. It has been 2 years since I posted. Not sure if I can develop it now but I want to try. I have started reading this awesome book by D. James Kennedy called, "The Real Meaning of the Zodiac". I love astronomy. It is my favorite part to teach each year. There is so much to year and explore. I also love the Lord Jesus who has given me eternal life. Genesis is one of my favorite books in the Bible.

The Bible is not a science book. However, because it is the Word of the Lord whatever it speaks on is TRUTH. If you do not accept it at truth from the very first verse tot he very last then you cannot truly experience the blessing the Lord has for you. So much is a mystery. The Lord is infinite in His knowledge and power. There is much He has done that our finite abilities will never comprehend. It is awesome to look at the design of the world and marvel at what HE created. Understanding or attempting to understand the what, why, and how is fascinating.

This book by Kennedy is compiling the understanding and meanings of the constellations form the most ancient of references. Genesis 1:14, 16 tells us that on day 4, "And God said, let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide that day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and for years... And God made the two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night; he made the stars also."

We know the "greater light" is the sun and the "lesser light" is the moon. We see the stars twinkling every time you look up at night. A day is measured by one Earth rotation and the year is measured by one Earth revolution around the sun. Most of the Earth experiences 4 seasons that are marked by the Spring and Autumn Equinoxes and the Summer and Winter Solstices. What then could the passage mean by "signs".

As I read I plan to elaborate here as a test of my habit to blog and think out loud.

In all your ways, "Do everything without arguing or complaining." Phi. 2:14
